Thompson's fleet is proudly 100% Owner Operator and we compensate our drivers appropriately, in order that they can profit from their hard work. Before applying to join our team, please take note of the following stipulations:
- Thompson pays weekly (direct bank deposit).
- Thompson supplies a new, 53' air ride dry van.
- Thompson purchases FAST transponder, NY HUT and HVUT permits.
- Thompson pays each owner operator a sign-on bonus (paid after 30, 60 & 90 days).
- Thompson purchases insurance and driver contributes 3% of base pay (<1% safety bonus).
- Thompson purchases IRP plates, then driver pays back total over installments.
- Thompson supplies fuel card, then charges driver a 2% administration fee for use.
- Thompson calculates driver's fuel tax at a cost of $10/pay.
- Thompson offers Green Shield benefits (medical/dental/RX) at a cost of $25/pay/driver.
- Thompson offers Accident & Disability Insurance ($20/pay/single & $30/pay/team).
- Driver's pay is deducted by $125/pay, up to $2,000 for a "hold back".
- Driver pays $80 for pre-employment drug test (Thompson pays for a negative test).
